Willie Hoffman is a designer, philosopher, educator, and craftsman. While studying philosophy at the University of Virginia he co-founded the Center for Experimental Living, whose mission is to expose valuable misinterpretations of normative reality. Willie has a Masters in Elementary education from Temple University and taught 4th grade and Kindergarten in Philadelphia Public Schools. Carpentry and woodworking is a skill handed down to him through his father and grandfather and he has 11 years of professional experience as a carpenter and cabinetmaker. Hoffman’s latest project is Playable Studio, a furniture making shop creating pieces of functional play for all ages. Willie lives with his wife and two children in New Haven, CT.
